
Community Conservation Officer

Role Overview
The Community Conservation Officer, together with the Senior Community Conservation Officer, shall implement forest protection, conservation, and preservation activities in Davao Oriental and support BaiAni Foundation and Kennemer Eco Solutions, Inc. (Keneco) on several activities, including but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Socializes with indigenous cultural communities (ICC) through immersion in the community.
Conducts community interviews and meetings and gathers secondary data across assigned CADTs in Davao Oriental.
Designing and facilitating community planning workshops and the execution of conservation projects following the Planning protocol of NCIP, Keneco, and BaiAni Foundation.
Coordination and relationship building with the different stakeholders as identified by the Indigenous Cultural communities (ICCs).
Prepares a documentation report of the activity and submits it to the Senior Community Conservation Officer.
Assist in other tasks as may be required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of college-level or a Degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
Experience in environmental conservation, wildlife management, or any previous work with government agencies, non-profits, or other organizations focused on conservation.
Ability to work effectively with other conservationists, community members, organizations, and promote conservation awareness.
Ability to work respectfully within diverse communities and effectively manage conflict resolution. • Knowledge of environmental regulations and understanding local conservation laws; ensuring compliance and effectively managing conservation efforts is a plus.
